Hi, my name is Melba Valarezo and I am a Grief Counselor at UpliftedCare. I have worked for UpliftedCare for over 20 years. I completed my Associate Degree at Kankakee Community College in 2001 and then I went to Governor’s State University where I obtained my Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Social Work. During that time, I interned at UpliftedCare and that is when my work with grief began.
I graduated from Governor’s State University with my MSW and obtained my LSW in 2005 and began my work in the Bereavement department at UpliftedCare. I have worked for Upliftedcare for over 20 years as a Bereavement Counselor. I am proud to be a part of this organization.
My hobbies include spending time with my children, watching mystery stories, crocheting, and playing games on my phone or playstation. I love assuring people that they are not alone when they are grieving. Walking with them is important
